No one has ever challenged it except Prof. P. N. Oak, who believes the
whole world has been duped. In his book Taj Mahal: The True Story, Oak says
the
Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz’s tomb but an ancient Hindu temple palace of
Lord Shiva (then known as Tejo Mahalaya ) . In the course of his research O
ak discovered that the Shiva temple palace was usurped by Shah Jahan from
then Maharaja of Jaipur, Jai Singh. In his own court ch ronicle,
Badshahnama,
Shah Jahan admits that an exceptionally beautiful grand mansion in Agra
was taken from Jai SIngh for Mumtaz’s burial . The ex-Maharaja of Jaipur
still
retains in his secret collection two orders from Shah Jahan for
surrendering the Taj building. Using captured temples and mansions, as a
burial place for
dead courtiers and royalty was a common practice among Muslim rulers.

For example, Humayun,Akbar, Etmud-ud-Daula and Safdarjung are all buried
in such mansions. Oak’s inquiries began with the name of Taj Mahal. He says

the term ” Mahal ” has never been used for a building in any Muslim countries
from Afghanisthan to Algeria . “The unusual explanation that the term Taj
Mahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal was illogical in atleast two respects.

Firstly, her name was never Mumtaz Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani,” he writes.
Secondly, one cannot omit the first three letters ‘Mum’ from a woman’s
name to derive the remainder as the name for the building.”Taj Mahal, he
claims, is a corrupt version of Tejo Mahalaya, or Lord Shiva’s Palace . Oak
also says the love story of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan is a fairy tale cre ated
by
court sycophants, blundering historians and sloppy archaeologists Not a
single royal chronicle of Shah Jahan’s time corroborates the love story.

Furthermore, Oak cites several documents suggesting the Taj Mahal predates
Shah Jahan’s era, and was a temple dedicated to Shiva, worshipped by
Rajputs of Agra city. For example, Prof. Marvin Miller of New York took a
few
samples from the riverside doorway of the Taj. Carbon dating tests revealed
that the door was 300 years older than Shah Jahan. European traveler Johan
Albert Mandelslo, who visited Agra in 1638 (only seven years after Mumtaz’s
death), describes the life of the cit y in his memoirs. But he makes no
reference to the Taj Mahal being built. The writings of Peter Mundy, an
English visitor to Agra within a year of Mumtaz’s death, also suggest the
Taj was a noteworthy building well before Shah Jahan’s time.

Prof. Oak points out a number of design and architectural inconsistencies
that support the belief of the Taj Mahal being a typical Hindu temple
rather
than a mausoleum. Many rooms in the Taj ! Mahal have remained sealed
since Shah Jahan’s time and are still inaccessible to the public . Oak
asserts they contain a headless statue of Lord Shiva and other objects
commonly used for worship rituals in Hindu temples Fearing political
backlash, Indira Gandhi’s government t ried to have Prof. Oak’s book
withdrawn from the bookstores, and threatened the Indian publisher of the
first edition dire consequences .

As known, India will never improve with the above-mentioned parties, as they hide history from public to safeguard their seats and will never allow Indians to be aware. Their aim is to keep us fools.

But every dog has its day, soon things will come to end. We need to make people understand what is what means not fighting with Muslim’s but to know what is what and be aware of original history includiong the history of freedom fighting and be brave and work for the nations wealth.

  8. Muslim rulers have not only maligned tejo mahal, but also many temples in south INDIA, namely the artifacts of Hampi, Belur, Halebedu and many more. The ultimate aim of all the muslim invaders is to loot India and convert the local people to Islam. I would like to thank Professor for his most revealing facts supported with able evidences. Government of India should act with courage and accept the fact, than trying to pacify the present Muslim minorities. Let the world accept the evidence, I also feel that Archeology department of India conduct an impartial study and publish the original story than going with the fairy tales.

  13. hai to all. i think u all might have believed this. this is what mankind does. neither think twice. just blindly believe what other says.
now i clear some doubts and raise some question.
RIVER GANGES is the HOLY RIVER according to HINDUS. Building such a tremendous , huge temple why couldn’t they built in the bank of river GANGES and why did they opted at bank of YAMUNA without any glory having in it. CRESCENT is the symbolic for muslims and not for HINDUS (few exceptional). And closing the rooms was for not allowing the local people to investigate jewels or somethingelse valuable as it would happen if some romour came. The arc shaped structure is tradition for every mosque around the world before and after TAJ MAHAL.Also no pinnacle is seen in any HINDU temple before and after TAJ MAHAL.
See if just a burial place or decorated GRAVE is there, it wont become reknowned. Since he(SHAH JAHAN) might have thought it as symbolic of LOVE for his WIFE he might have constructed such a huge nonument.

SO GUYS DONT PASS TO ANYBODY UNWANTED MAILS & MESSAGES AND CREATE ANOTHER HISTORIC WAR IN INDIA.

you are scared to accept the truth that the building existed well before shahjahan. Every muslim will be. But I believe that 99 percent of muslims in india are converted by force or by money in last several centuries. They were essentially hindus before that. They should wake up to this reality and find out their roots. Then they will feel proud of it again.
There is nothing wrong in accepting this.
Lenin, pls read more info which is available in books or on net and then do you have the balls to go to your brothers and convince them this fact? Good luck to u.

  18. Professor P.N.Oak really did a amazing job on researching & dead on proving that Taj Mahal was Tejo Mahalaya. I agree with his logical fact & very glad that somebody actually had the nerves to find out all this & challenge the crap love story that has being passing on from years to years by false historians without any dead proof or logic. I wonder & doubt that shajahan would really build such a huge monument for his wife & for the sake of her love, & at the same time he would be soo cruel that he would cut hands of his 20,000 artists who build taj mahal??

Professor P.N.Oak Knocked off every single point that would have brought up claiming tejo mahalya as a islamic monument. ALso, it is not only about taj…one good example is Hagia Sophia which is in istanbul, turkey…it was a byzantine church which was converted to a mosque as well & claimed as islamic monument.

The people who passed some negative comments over here said something liek need to think about the others shiva temples and if we have guts need to renovate them Good sir, your thinking is really appreciated but think in this sense if something is of your ancestor property and if someone will clam that is theirs and will pass on like that, will you keep your mouth shut. Your kind of people will never talk about rules if it comes to you. Ofcourse I am not offending you but I am not convinced with your agreement. Ofcourse I know that u r not bothered if I agree or not.

I know whose page is this but the effort which you made is really appreciated, making all Hindus to be aware of this. We should become unite and need to struggle for our own things. thanks you so much for this beautiful article and letting us know everyone.

  22. If the same thing would have been happened with other religion, this would have been a serious issue and would have lead for human and property loss, communal riots, etc., It is the greatness of HINDUISM which forgives all. Because, hinduism is never a religion, it is a way of living. Almost all the religions in the world have grown from hinduism, so it becomes part on us, to forgive the ignorance of other religious people. Because, we know that, knowingly or unknowinly they worship ‘his divine grace-lord krsna, as said by him in bhagavadgita’.

  34. People want publicity, just as mr oak failed to understand. Persian or Mughal rulers cannot put bric or marble for building a monument. They ordered for building and it was built with a mixture of indian and islamic architecture. Thats how you can find lotus and trishul influenced art in not only taj mahal but other Islamic monuments of India. Also…The sealed walls doesnt mean they contain shiva idols, But it was sealed for security to the building. Taj Mahal is built on the same platform as it is mentioned of Jannat or Heaven in Islam. Its design is inspired by the descriptions of Jannat or heaven in Quran and related books. It is not built on the descriptions of veda. Shah Jahan wanted to build a Paradise like monument for his love.
